Device Wire Adapter (DWA) allows existing legacy USB 2.0 wired devices to be used wirelessly with a wireless USB adapter host.
While Host Wire Adapter (HWA) allows an external USB wireless adapter to be added to an existing USB 2.0 computer ports giving wireless functionality to the system.

It appears for the time being that the world will have to wait and see which short range communications technology will rise above and take control over this area of high demand for bandwidth, distance and wireless security.
